Our roots go back to 1970 when Andrew Bowden, our Chairman, commenced his career in Energy Management. Andrew’s passion for all things environmental led him to conclude that if he wished to deliver the energy and environmental message to a larger audience he would have to start a consultancy. In 1991 Andrew opened the doors to the forerunners of Carbon2018. Despite the years, the same passion still drives the business. Whilst Andrew has passed on the baton, his knowledge and experience helps guide Carbon2018.

Board of Directors

Tracy Lewis

Managing Director

With a background in business management, Tracy is responsible for financial planning and sustainable growth of the business. With over 20 years working in the FMCG sector in a customer services and operations management capacity, Tracy is dedicated to delivering the highest level of client experience – a priority reinforced by the leadership team. Her background in performance management ensures that the ethic of exceptional delivery is manifest in every area of the business.

Joanne Merry

Technical Director

Jo has been with the business for over 11 years after starting her career on the Carbon2018 graduate training programme. She heads up the technical service areas of the business and has provided energy consultancy on some of the most iconic buildings in the UK. Jo holds the Energy Institute’s Advanced Energy Manager qualification, is a PRINCE2 practitioner, and ISO50001 lead auditor.

Melanie Kendall-Reid

Compliance Director

Melanie has an honours degree in law, qualifications in business and financial management, is a PRINCE2 practitioner and holds a post graduate diploma in the Mechanics of Risk Management. Her legal career spans over 25 years in a variety of sectors and she provides expert advice on both pending and current energy related legislation.

Senior Management Team

Carly Wyatt

Head of Operations

Carly’s career with Carbon2018 spans all areas of the business giving her an unrivalled understanding of the delivery areas. She is responsible for the delivery of all operations including management of the service delivery teams and implementation of practice, developing processes and systems in line with ISO standards. Carly holds qualifications in project management including PRINCE2 and APMP and is also educated in business management. Her experience enables her to shape services to best meet the needs of our clients.

Kirsty Knight

Head of Client Relationships

Kirsty has 9 years’ experience in energy consultancy and has worked across both the project management and account management teams. Kirsty’s role is to effectively maintain and develop positive client relationships through proactive engagement and understanding client objectives to ensure service excellence and client retention.

Adam Mitchell

Head of Technical Services

Adam’s experience in the energy industry spans over 11 years. He heads up the Technical Services Team and acts as the primary contact for technical consultancy. Adam is responsible for the delivery of energy related technical projects including large developments. Adam is also an ISO50001 lead auditor.

Louise Baumann

Head of Account Management

Louise has over 10 years’ experience consulting within various technical industries. She has international experience working with global leaders providing solutions which drive sustainable growth through businesses. Louise works with our clients in order to understand their existing and future energy management requirements, using her experience to identify and provide solutions to match clients’ strategic and operational objectives.

Lisa Turner

Head of Marketing

Lisa has a first class honours degree in business studies with a marketing specialism and a b2b marketing career spanning 20 years. Lisa is responsible for developing and delivering a marketing strategy that will ensure the business meets and exceeds its growth aspirations whilst raising awareness of the Carbon2018 brand.
